Established in 1979 by Dr Ponguru Narayana, Narayana Educational Institutions is one of Asia's Largest Educational Institutions, consisting of 900+ schools, junior colleges, coaching centers and professional colleges across 250+ cities in 23 Indian states. With a dedicated team of 50,000+ experienced teachers and staff, we enable the dreams of 6 lakh+ students every year.

Our Founder
Dr. Ponguru Narayana
Dr. Ponguru Narayana is the Founder of Narayana Educational Institutions, one of Asia’s largest educational institutions. Dr. Narayana is a passionate educator who has dedicated his life to the vision of affordable, high-quality education for all. He established the first Narayana coaching center in 1979 at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. For more than four decades, he has worked tirelessly to expand his vision to 23 states, establishing over 900 campuses. Today, Narayana Educational Institutions encompasses Schools, Junior Colleges, Coaching centers, Medical and engineering colleges, collectively educating over 6 lakh students every day.
Dr. Narayana is currently serving as the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development in the Andhra Pradesh government. In his capacity as a public servant, he brought in many reforms in urban development and public education that benefited millions in Andhra Pradesh.
Dr. Narayana is a postgraduate gold medalist in Mathematics and holds a PhD in Statistics from S.V. University, Tirupati.

Ms Sharani Ponguru
Director
Sharani played a pivotal role in transforming pedagogy and student-centric learning. Currently, she manages Narayana's Future Edge Programme, which emphasises innovation-driven learning, student wellness and faculty empowerment.
Dr. P. Sindhura
Director
Sindhura has been instrumental in shaping the institution’s strategic direction. Her accomplishments include spearheading the NAAC A-grade accreditation process and managing transformation across operational verticals. She manages Narayana's academic planning, national branding and institutional excellence.
Puneet Kothapa
President
Puneet has played a vital role in expanding Narayana Educational Institutions from presence in a few states to 900+ campuses across 23 states in India. As a strong supporter of hybrid learning, where Digital aids complement traditional teaching, he has been instrumental in establishing nLearn, Narayana’s digital learning ecosystem, shaping its digital content strategy and embedding AI, data analytics and adaptive learning across the ecosystem.
